Large banking institutions, in particular, are making substantial investments in AI platforms and embedding these technologies across engineering, operations, and client-facing functions.

As a result, demand has accelerated for AI-focused talent, including Machine Learning Engineers, Data Engineers, and Transformation Leads, who can drive the design, implementation, and scaling of these capabilities.

In parallel, the role of Project Management is evolving toward broader “transformation leadership.” Large-scale digital transformation initiatives, payments modernisation, platform integrations, and regulatory change programs now require professionals who combine delivery expertise with strong technical literacy. Success in these roles increasingly depends on the ability to influence executive stakeholders, navigate complex organisational change, and lead enterprise-wide transformation rather than solely focusing on project execution.

At the same time, talent shortages persist in several critical and highly specialised technology domains. These include Digital and Cyber Security, Cloud Engineering, and AI-driven Automation and Integration, where demand continues to outpace supply.
